March 2011: Dr. Granholm was featured on the radio show Veterans Health Now: Honoring Service with Science which airs on wsRadio.com. Host Kerstin Lynam, then-CEO of the Veterans Medical Research Foundation in San Diego, interviewed Dr. Granholm about schizophrenia. During the interview, Dr. Granholm discussed the causes and symptoms, including hallucinations and delusions; how schizophrenia affects the veteran population from the Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and how their illness may or may not relate to service; and the latest research into schizophrenia treatment, including medication, cognitive therapy, psychiatric and psychological treatment, and other new approaches for recovery. Ms. Lynam also summarized the latest research to improve treatment for schizophrenia and how to become involved.
